About

About

Inspired by the landscape, architecture, antiquity and mythology Dennis Kilgallon’s sculpture is unique and thought provoking. He has over 40 years experience and his journey, which includes Art School in the sixties (he dropped out), stone carving, ceramic production management and education have all influenced a remarkable range of work. This eclectic approach has led to a body of knowledge and experience rarely encountered. His work is increasingly placed in interior settings where it provides a strong focal point. Dennis has shown work at Award winning gardens; Chelsea and Hampton Court. His work is mostly in high-fired stoneware, which is extremely resilient. Commissions are undertaken and can be produced in either bronze or ceramic.
In summer 2015 Dennis set up a new gallery, in the hills above Allenbanks, showing his and other artists’ work. Exhibitions change every 2 months to keep the gallery fresh. He has also recently returned to doing his own painting.

Our gallery and studio is situated west of Hexham and is just off the A69, amid some stunning countryside and close to the beautiful rolling hills above Allen Banks looking south towards the Allen Valley. The gallery is in a recent barn conversion, shown in ’25 Beautiful Homes’ magazine, with courtyard and gardens full of inspiring sculpture. The gallery will show work of some of our most talented artists. Everything from stunning paintings, sculptures to decorative ceramics. The perfect special gift or a treat for yourself.

Our Opening Times Are:

SPRING/SUMMMER
OPENING: Just Saturday and Sunday.
FROM: First Saturday in MARCH to the last Sunday in OCTOBER between 11:00 – 5:00.

WINTER PERIOD: Although we are not officially open after the last weekend in OCTOBER until next MARCH there is a mixed collection permanently on show, as we live on location we are very happy to see you at a time to suit you, but you must phone first to ensure we are here. This applies to mid-week during season too. We don’t do ‘appointments’ as this sounds so formal. Contact us to have a look at the current exhibition and have a cup of tea or coffee.
