Artist Statement

Carole is a printmaker who works from her home in the Tyne Valley. She uses a variety of media to express her love of the environment and poetry.

This includes Collagraphs and pastels but more recently Carole has been developing a large body of work as a wood engraver.

The artist has been using her love of Northumberland to create work influenced by this beautiful landscape and its bird life.

Carole has recently created a body of work inspired by the life and poetry of William Wordsworth. These wood engravings kept her busy (and sane!) throughout lockdown.
