Artist Statement

I have drawn for as long as I can remember – people mostly. Eventually this love progressed into painting and a BA hons in fine art.

I am a lover of bright colour and this is refected in my paintings whatever the subject.

Oil on canvas is my favourite method of painting and I mainly paint people and flowers.

I like to paint strong women who are comfortable in their own skin. Here ar two examples.

The flower paintings on show here are from my garden, mostly parrot tulips. I buy a new selection of tulips each year and can’t wait to see what comes up in spring.
